June is Men's Health Month, a national observance used to raise awareness about health care for men and focus on encouraging boys, men and their families to practice and implement healthy living decisions, such as exercising and eating healthy. The purpose of Men’s Health Month is to heighten the awareness of preventable health problems.

Sun safety is not just for vacation. Are you sun-safe every day? Take the American Cancer Society's quiz and find out.
Helpful tip: Use a daily moisturizer that contains an SPF of at least 15. While everyday UV exposure is inevitable, there are easy ways to protect your skin.

National Immunization Awareness Month
August is National Immunization Awareness Month (NIAM). This annual observance highlights the
importance of getting recommended vaccines throughout your life.
As vaccine research continues to grow, this is a good time to look over the history of vaccines and how far we have come.

September 7
Healthy Aging Month
For the past twenty years, the month of September has been recognized as Healthy Aging Month, an annual occurrence to raise awareness about the positive aspects of growing older. As the numbers of people age 45 and older grows every year, the focus of September’s Healthy Aging Month is to inspire these adults to improve their overall health and well-being. Healthy aging includes more than just one’s physical wellness; rather it also encompasses a healthy mental, social, and financial state.

October 5
Breast Cancer Awareness
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM), launched in 1985 by the American Cancer Society and Imperial Chemical Industries and is intended to encourage women to get regular mammograms.
While Breast Cancer largely effects women, men are effected as well and it's important for everyone to remain aware.

November 2
American Diabetes + Lung Cancer Awareness Month
Diabetes is one of the most common chronic conditions in school-age youth in the United States, affecting about 193,000 youth under 20 years old. Regardless of their age, sometimes youth who have diabetes need support with their diabetes care.
November is officially Lung Cancer Awareness Month. The event started back in 1995 as Lung Cancer Awareness Day. As the lung cancer community and the lung cancer movement grew, the awareness activities increased and the day matured into Lung Cancer Awareness Month.
